Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment Website Redesign

UI Design Personal Project

I started as an environmental engineer before becoming a product designer. That part of me never really left. So when I randomly visited the Ministry of Environment’s website one evening, I found something that completely caught me off guard 😱

I questioned:

These discovery shaped the next step: reframing the problem into design goals. I translated my findings into actionable questions with HMW (How Might We) (even though it’s a UI project, it still needed solid reasoning behind every decision, right?):

How might we better communicate the ministry’s impact through the interface?

How might we make the visual structure cleaner and clearer?

How might we create an interface that resonates with both local and international users?

Then i made:

BEFORE

AFTER

Reflection

This project reinforced how small interface changes can drive big impact. By identifying design bottlenecks and applying basic UX principles, I was able to reimagine a smoother user flow with better clarity and structure. If implemented on a larger scale, further usability testing and live churn tracking would help validate the design at scale.
